Wow. This Featured Friend is rather glamorous, we think! We present the lovely Angie Whitworth as our latest (and probably flashiest) Friend of the site. The Editor had the privilege of meeting this lovely lady in NYC during a visit and was privileged to sample some of her traditional Sunday Muffins. We also spent a happy afternoon touring the Metropolitan Museum together, so we can attest that the following kudos from Angie's friend and spokesperson, our own Mary, shown here snuggling with Angie and her little dog Spike, are true:

Angie moved to New York ten years ago to pursue her dream job as a fashion designer working for her favorite designer, Betsy Johnson. She made a splash on the runway with her creative designs and went on to the production side of the industry also modeling as the fit model for Betsy. She acquired an amazing stash of dresses during this time. You should ask to see her closet of dresses. I always get stuck goggling when I'm over at her place. She is in love with Elvis Presely, is a great cook, go to her for some fine southern cooking or baking. She knits, she makes books, she can silkscreen, collage, and sew to beat all. Now, for her career as a dancer, she started taking classes when she came up to new York and quickly moved through the ranks until she was asked to teach at Sandra Cameron Dance center. She finally was able to quit her job in fashion and dance full time competing in Swing competitions around the world and touring the country with Swing Dance America. She was the American Lindy Hop Champion a few years back and still amazes the crowds with her death defying arials. Annie and I met Angie at Church in Bushwick I branch in Brooklyn and quickly became fast friends. Hilarious. She serves in the Primary (children's organization) there, and is as dedicated to her kids and the branch members, staying up all night to have cookies or muffins ready to share in church the next day. Oh, and ask Angie what kind of car she drives. This girl is full of tricks. We love this girl and will miss her when she leaves in March to serve a mission in the Provo Utah Mission.

Well, we feel very happy to know this wonderful lady. Thanks for signing in, Angie, and we hope you enjoy weaning those ignorant Provo-ites from their horrid ways!
