HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALLISON!
Remember when we used to celebrate our birthdays together?
Hope you all are doing well. I think of you all often, even after all these years. I always considered you my second family and Barbara and Bill my other parents. You were a strong support and beautiful (although sometimes wacky :) influence on me.
Would love to get back in touch!

I served a mission in Dallas from 1998-2000 and the Benacs were the single-most influential family I came across. Fearless in their testimonies, jaw-dropping in their accomplishments, and humbling in their presentation, this family is a beacon to what I dream of my own family becoming. Thank you for sharing your wonderful family, traditions, and excitement with all of us through your website. You are a breath of fresh air in a world that would have us believe families like yours aren't possible. |

annie,
hello! do you remember me from the long lost days of highland park high school. you were so talented, even in high school. i remember that painting you did of that coffee shop that was the cover of the tartan magazine. your work was just incredible. i can only imagine what you are doing now. i would love to see how your art has evolved. i still have a beautiful bowl in my house that catie made in ceramics. it has traveled with me through many moves. the benacs are all so talented. i think you all have a very special family. please email me if you ever get a chance. and i really would like very much to see your work. hope you are doing well. fondly, scotty mcnab(now scotty brisson) |

I love that a stranger stopped to help Carmen. It is wonderful to hear that people are still willing to do a good deed daily.

More Benac's...
There is a clan of us in NW Indiana and others in the Joliet, Il.area. Not sure how/if we are all related. All I know is that Great Grampa ''Black-Jack'' and his son, George came over in 1902 from Croatia.
I went to Crotia in 2001 as a U.S. Marine and was the first one back from our group. It was a wonderful trip and it was great to get ''back home.''
I understand that there is another ''Patrick Benac'' out there in St. Louis. I met some more Benac's that I hadn't seen before at a funeral for one of my uncles a few months back. Several of the Joliet group came down. I got a package with some family things that I hadn't known of.
Anyway...
