For those of us with spelling problems...
The EU Commission has just announced an
agreement whereby English will be the official
language of the European Union rather than German,
which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government
conceded that English spelling had some room for
improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in
plan that would become known as ''Euro-English''.
In the first year, ''s'' will replace the soft ''c''. Sertainly,
this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard ''c'' will be dropped in favour of ''k''.
This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan
have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond
year when the troublesome ''ph'' will be replaced with ''f''.
This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan
be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated
changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double
letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent ''e'' in the
languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing ''th'' with ''z'' and ''w'' with ''v''.
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary ''o'' kan be dropd from
vords kontaining ''ou'' and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a
reil sensi bl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and
evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza.
Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking
German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.
If zis mad you smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl

Hi there, I hope this isn't too weird, but I work at DW Babcock school here in Sacramento. We are throwing Babcock school a ''50th Birthday Bash'' on Sept. 27th, with alumni invited and such. I googled ''DW Babcock'' in attempt to find any relatives of the man and I found your cute little page here. The story you told about your brother in Kindergarten...did that happen at Babcock??? I must know, for it may be an interesting story to share at the party. Please email to confirm or deny. Thank you! |

Hello! This is Samantha Newman, Kelsey's brother William's wife. I just wanted to say I enjoyed the pictures of the latest wedding and I occassionally come visit your site. Nice job! I'm currently in Japan so I love to find interesting things to read and look at on the internet, IN ENGLISH!, about people I know. So this is perfect. Congrats to everyone on all the exciting things going on in everyone's lives. What an exciting wedding! Uniting two cultures. Very cool! And so many babies coming in to the world. Honestly, this is quite a website. It must take some maintenance! It's quite impressive, and exhaustive. Lots of things to look at. So keep them coming b/c it's entertaining for me, the lonely foreigner here in a country where I don't speak a lick of the crazy language so I am hungry for anything in English! And this isn't just anything. This is...awesome things.

Dear Fabulous Benac Family,
Thank you so much for hosting such a wonderful weekend! Your hospitality went off the charts! I felt so honored to be invited to Mary and Ram's wedding. I can truly say that I have never seen a more beauitful bride or had a better time at any reception. I loved the Indian music and dancing. I want to take an Indian dance class now.
It was such a joy to meet the rest of the Benac clan! I have heard such great things about you all it was nice to put names with faces. I also loved meeting Mary's grandparents (They are sooooo cute and grandpa makes great pancakes)!
I love you all,
