"I was wrong. I'm sorry. I love you."
The Holy Trinity of personal redemptive sentiment.
Momma Editor

February 8: If we ever wondered how our dear Sarah became so crafty, we have only to look back to the summer of 1987, when the Editor was nearly felled by a virulent heart infection and turned to making patchwork quilts in lieu of dying or walking or driving; etc. Thanks to Auntie Margaret, who found these two pix of the Littles of '87, bravely carrying on their nearly dead mother's work of creating and enjoying patchwork quilting, embroidery, and stenciling. Note Sarah's casual pose displaying the staggering array of crafts in which she was employed in behalf of her Cabbage Patch doll, Andrea. And John is testing the first hand-quilted blanket the Ed ever made; this one was sent to nephew Philip Hall in commemoration of his auspicious birth.

What a sweet little pic of Johnny all snuggled up! That kid had great little boy hair. I didn't realize that 87 was when you first starting quilting - I guess heart disease is good for something after all.
