Girl Grads Grace BYU Stage

Mary and Sarah "Walk" Together

In a heartwarming show of family unity, our dear Mary and Sarah walked the stage together at BYU's recent commencement ceremonies and picked up their diplomas in zoology and sociology respectively. The Parents, Billy and Catherine and Matt Morphis were on hand to share in the excitement and participate in a weekend filled with fetes, a visit from the Easter Bunny, a lobster feed and a truly wild night at Provo's Tepanyaki Restaurant in which the revelry reached a nearly dangerous fever pitch! Our heartiest congratulations go out to both of these hard working Benac daughters!

Dad Undergoes Knee Fix , Jack Gets a Belly Stitch

After spending nearly a year and a half suffering from the effects of his fall into the hatch of the Half Time and one failed corrective surgery, our Dear Dad took the next step with a trusted sports medicine specialist and underwent a cartilage graft of his right knee in hopes of losing that not-so alluring (just ask the Editor!) habit of dragging his right leg! He is now beginning his six-weeks- on-crutches phase and we wish him a complete recovery and a return to that active Benac Family Lifestyle!

The preceding week found our own little baby Jack Allred in emergency surgery at Loyola Hospital in Chicago for a constricted pyloric valve. He is recovering at home in preparation for the long drive to Texas with his family as they move down here within spitting distance of the Fam.

"Lucky" Page Finds Favor

There are no words to describe the Editor's joy to have received a message from one of the animal

The Ed pays a visit to famous friend
keepers at the Dallas World Aquarium praising the Lucky the Sloth webpage to be found on Benac.com! A recently installed page tracker reveals that the Lucky page far outshines any other on Benac.com and draws interest and attention from around the world! Another request came from a kids' magazine asking for permission to reprint one of the Editor's photographs of our dear little slothy friend for their national publication. Ah, the perks of celebrity!

Annie Shrugs off Vegetarian Ways

Our dear "Sestra Benac", who is serving a year and a half mission to Croatia, made a great concession when she moved to eastern europe by giving up her vegetarian ways to avoid hurting the feelings of the locals, who delight in offering her their own, homemade zhivapchichi, popular home-made sausages of unknown etiology. Annie has gamely made every effort to consume what is offered, but reached the limit last month in a sausagey scandal that may have cost her health. Here is her own version of the meal:

Annie has moved to the coastal city of Split. Put two regular stamps on your letter and send it to:
